Privacy Policy for Storeminator.com
At Storeminator.com we take your privacy seriously..
We recognize that the privacy of your personal information is important and we do not engage in any practices that we would ourselves not be happy with as internet users. Here is some information on the types of information we could potentially collect when you visit Storeminator.com, and what we do with it. Bear in mind first and foremost that we never sell your personal information to third parties.
Log Files
As with most other websites, certain data is collected in log files and also sent to us by your browser. This includes your IP (internet protocol) address - in some cases, if you have a fixed IP address we COULD hypothetically find out which individual computer you visited from (though we don't do that), but probably if you are using a major service provider, the IP will only identify the ISP, e.g. AOL. We can also see the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox), the time you visited our site, which pages you visited across our site and the search terms you used to reach this site if you came via Google, Yahoo search etc. We only use this information to identify general visitor trends - almost ALL web sites have access to this information and it is unlikely we could identify you personally from it, nor would we try. To reiterate: we currently do NOT collect any personal data about you.
Cookies and Web Beacons
We may use cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit our site, or your login details for a password-protected area of the site, though no cookies are currently used on the site. Again, we cannot identify you in this way, other than from the information you may have already volunteered to us. Some sites use this information to track which products or pages you may have looked at on their site on previous occasions, and tailor content accordingly. We currently do not do this. There is no way to connect your online "cookie" with your offline "real-life" identity.
Cookies can be disabled if you are concerned, but this will affect the functionality of this and other sites, especially your ability to log in to password protected sites such as forums.
Third-party disclaimer
We link to third-party sites whose products are featured on this site. We try to make it as clear as possible that you are leaving our site when you click on such links and while we seek to work with reputable partners we cannot be held responsible for their privacy policy or lack thereof.
Similarly, we may display third party advertisements on Storeminator.com to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers information similar to that listed above. While we only include advertisements we believe to be benign you should check the policies of the providers in question to determine their policies in this regard - we cannot take responsibility for the practices of third-party advertisers.
